Memphasys recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Vitrolife Japan KK, a subsidiary of the Vitrolife Group, to sell and distribute the FelixTM IVF sperm separation system in Japan for five years.
This is the first major agreement for Memphasys with a global distributor – following commercial sales in early access countries like India, Canada, and New Zealand, and clinical studies and regulatory certifications in China and Australia – and it’s a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to deliver ‘better technology, more life’ through pioneering research, development and commercialisation of reproductive biotechnology.
So, it’s especially exciting to have the considerable expertise, insight and industry connections of Austrade Tokyo getting behind our commercial efforts in Japan in the most practical, helpful way.
Hands-on help for the reproductive revolution
As the Japan distribution began ramping up, we reached out to Austrade in Australia to inform them of our commercial activity in the region and see if there was any assistance they could offer. A very helpful Austrade representative in Australia put us directly in touch with their colleague at Austrade Tokyo and great stuff started happening.
In addition to giving us incredibly valuable, on-point industry advice, Austrade Toyko’s Business Development Manager, Airi Sakaguchi, and her team has gone above and beyond to help us bring world-leading reproductive technology to the families of Japan:
- Given us critical feedback on our Japanese-translated marketing collateral
- Given us essential advice on the development of our Japanese website
- Given us informed tips on what conferences and trade delegations to attend
- Given us valuable time by attending face to face meetings with our team in Japan
As we focus on the next steps in our mission to lead globally in reproductive technology, it’s reassuring on every level to know we have Airi and the expert, insightful team at Austrade Tokyo behind us.
